"An essential that ALL successful businesses
have in common is
powerful marketing"

Are you "on the list"?

Apart from Dr Alex, who is still reeling from the inexplicable action by Raiffeisen Bank, great many other people have been wrongfully accused, with some needing decades to clear their name.

"Being on the list" can be very detrimental to your career, as in the CNN article of August 22, 2008, titled "Name on government watch list threatens pilot's career".

However, in today's world just having the same name as an unsavory character means constantly having problems, even if you happen to be a little child. Here are some recent examples:

  • [Source: IReport] Young Child on the No Fly List - we're talking about an 8-year old! Right now it is easy to tell that an 8-year old is not likely to be a terrorist, but what happens when he grows up?

  • [Source: IReport] Toddler in Wheelchair Targeted - here we have a toddler with a cerebral palsy, who is being checked for bomb residue and patted down.

OK, we all want our world to be safe, but how much more ridiculous can it get?

In the Raiffeisen Bank case, the good new is that the bank released the funds 2 days after the interview. However, ignoring all the people who came forward with videos and words of support for Dr Alex, the bank is yet to retract their crazy accusation or offer an apology.

Perhaps Raiffeisen Bank is more concerned about their own reputation after facing antitrust fines for limiting competition "possibly by fixing or propping up prices (tariffs)", as reported in a Reuters article, to worry about an individual whose name they are slandering.
